Thinking outside the Boxpark! A report on Croydon's
latest entertainment hub taking the area by storm
by Sam
The Croydon Boxpark opened in October 2016 and is already one of the most popular social destinations in the area. The first Boxpark – a collection of shipping containers that house individual food vendors – was built in Shoreditch in 2011 and the Croydon branch is already full of satisfied customers. However, it is not only the food and drink that draws people to Boxpark, it is also the live music, film and sport or one of the countless other events on offer.
Trinity sent a team of top reporters to Boxpark to interview its Chief Executive, Events and Marketing manager, several local business owners as well as consumers to find out what it is that has made the newest Boxpark such a success.

One of the key aspects of Boxpark's popularity is the sheer variety of food and drink available. With plenty of options open to customers, there is something to suit everybody's liking. We interviewed several vendors about their businesses and why they wanted to establish themselves at the Boxpark, as well as sampling some of their finest produce!
Alongside food and drink, Boxpark is becoming an increasingly popular choice for top musicians who want to play at this venue. Recently, Boxpark hosted BRIT award nominee Stormzy who sang songs from his new album ‘Gang Signs and Prayer’ to a packed house.
All of this has made Boxpark a huge success in its opening five months. Who knows, we could soon see more and more popping all over the country!
